The Emotions of a 7 Year Old

33/365 - Solemn
My daughter's emotions were running high today. We were watching Wheel of Fortune, it has become a nightly thing, and she comes down and sits on the couch. She said "I think I just want to be downstairs right now." I look at her and say "ok." Not thinking anything of it. Then next thing I hear is a few little sobs. I look at her and she is crying! ha ha ha. So I ask her "Lindsey, What's wrong?" She continues to sob and blubbers out "I can't get my Tinkerbell skin to show up on my game!" (skin being a decorative wallpaper sort of thing that I added onto her game online)

We tell her to go upstairs and cry it out. She does. Then a bit later while we were watching The Biggest Loser, Bren traipses downstairs and hands me a piece of paper saying "this is for you."

I immediately had my husband read it just because I couldn't believe what I was reading! ha. It was heartbreaking and hilarious at the same time. Am I mean for thinking this? ha. I couldn't help it!

Well. I called her downstairs and had her cuddle with me for the remainder of The Biggest Loser. I think she will be ok.

P.S. I told Dave I was going to blog about this and Lindsey said "I don't think I like everyone knowing what I write" Bah ha ha ha. Sorry Lindsey. It was too good to pass up. MOMMY LOVES YOU!

    Omgosh...that is so adorable...bless her little heart! :) I cracked up..so I don't think your mean, but your kiddo is soooo cute! I looooved that letter...I think I am going to try that on my hubby so I can get some cuddling time,if only I can train one of my puppies to carry it to him. Hee hee hee! Thanks for sharing motherhood stories, I'll never be a mommy, and never much wanted to be, but its so sweet to see how beautiful it is for other people who are mommies! Hearts, Janna Lynn

    oh goodness, this might be the cutest thing ever. poor lindsey!!! what a little cutie pie. i hope you save this note for her to look at 20 years later so she can have a good laugh. hmm and not to be the bearer of bad news, but i think you're going to have your hands full when she's a teen. lol.

    BAHAHAHAHAH little kids are so hillarious! I love that she actually had her brother bring you the note, priceless. Seriously, I can't wait to be a mom just for moments like this! AND can you believe the biggest loser tonight!! 9 lbs each??? SERIOUSLY! I totally lol'd so hard at this post btw :)

    Oh to be 7 again and have my tinkerbell game be the biggest issue in my life!! The picture is something you have to keep and show her when she is 16...LOL!! Love it.

    I'm so glad you linked this to your new blog post because I'm in love with these notes! My kids better be this dramatic and write it down, or else! Seriously. I hope you save this and pin this up for everyone to see at their high school grad or wedding or other super embarrassing event! How funny and adorable! I love it! Especially that her reaction was to sleep under the bed?! Bahaha oh kids. Love them!
